Plane Through Three Points

Added Jul 29, 2010 by VitaliyKaurov in Mathematics

It is enough to specify tree non-collinear points in 3D space to construct a plane. Equation, plot, and normal vector of the plane are calculated given x, y, z coordinates of tree points.

Projectile Motion

Added Jul 29, 2010 by VitaliyKaurov in Physics

Calculate characteristics of the projectile motion entering initial sped and angle. In addition to the number choose appropriate units, for example m/s, ft/s, km/h, degree, radian, etc.

Relative Weather

Added Jul 30, 2010 by VitaliyKaurov in Weather

Compare various weather data of two different geographic locations for a specific time period. Often weather data are absent for some locations or time periods. In this case the widget will not provide information.

Parallel and Series Circuits

Added Jul 30, 2010 by VitaliyKaurov in Physics

Calculate equivalent resistance of two resistors connected in parallel or series circuits.

Pendulum and Planets

Added Jul 31, 2010 by VitaliyKaurov in Physics

Simple pendulum is just a light string with a small object at one end that can swing while the other end is fixed. Its period of small oscillations is the time of a complete small-angle swing, for example: left most-rightmost-leftmost. It will be different on different planets because of different gravitational force. Sun is also included in the Widget, though it is not a planet. Maximum angle of swing used here is 20 degrees.

Line Constructor

Added Jul 31, 2010 by VitaliyKaurov in Mathematics

Build a line in a plane specifying any two of the following characteristics: slope, point, x-intercept, y-intercept. Use two numbers in parentheses for point specification, for example (-1/2, 0.3).

Logistic Map

Added Aug 11, 2010 by VitaliyKaurov in Mathematics

"The logistic map is often cited as an archetypal example of how complex, chaotic behaviour can arise from very simple non-linear dynamical equations." ~ from Wikipedia
