Common Core Math: Grade 7: Geometry

In seventh grade, students compute lengths and areas based on scale drawings of shapes. Students draw shapes to match given geometric conditions, such as drawing a triangle given its side lengths or angle measures. Students compute areas, volumes and surface areas of regular and irregular shapes and describe two-dimensional cross sections of rectangular prisms and pyramids. Students also compute circumferences of circles and solve problems involving properties of angles and their measurements.
